Here is the other purse from the 30's or 40's. This one is virtually unused like the other ones. And I believe the name on the hinge says "Ideal" but when I research it all I get is Mattel toys! It's also got the metal 'SWIFT" Zipper.
So, my question on this one too is, is this style defined as rockabilly and or Betty Paige?

Apologies for the delay to all! I am thrilled this got so much great response. I've had this purse for years now and believe it or not, never used it myself! Therefore, as I have been disbursing everything I can, this one hopefully will find itself a new owner ;) And more than likely, as I'm sure most of us do...there will soon be another to take it's place! lol

Hi Nutsy! Thank you for the awesome love and comment. It does have a very unique pleat. Very soft and sturdy velvet too. I wanted to show everyone mostly where to find the maker on these old gems. The funny thing is...I still can't find the maker! It just dawned on me that this bag is like Cinderella's handbag when she went to meet the prince, right?!? hmmmm!
