I had a little time before work the other day and went into Goodwill, where I spent less than ten minutes.
When I saw plate two, I thought, "Oh boy. Currier knock-off." For the colouring was just terrible on it (I made it look good in the photos, but it's done poorly in real life).
So imagine my surprise when I picked it up and saw the stamp of N. Currier on the back of the plate. $1. I'll probably put $10 on it and see it sell when I do my 15% off sales.
Still doesn't make up for the fact that they really failed at colouring this one. LOL.
The first plate, though, is just a pretty piece from a different thrift store. Dates 1891 to 1916, for this red Pointons mark. Stoke on Trent.
