Can someone help identify this demi set. It has what seems to be rare green with red tint Sabrina stones. It is unmarked and have only seen one other set similar but the brooch was a different shape. Someone suggested it could be Judy Lee but this is unmarked and does not have a filigree backplate. Another thought D&E with the construction. Thanks.
Thanks Ms.CrystalShip and nutsabotas6. Yes, it is a gorgeous set and obtained it at a bargain price, glad for me :-) But not to worry for the seller since this is for my personal collection and not resale. I have seen a lot of Sabrina glass in various colors but not this green with red centers, other than the other set I ran across. That brooch is in a maltese cross-like shape but has the same earrings... and uses the same exact stones with the orange red chatons. Being so odd, I am wondering if the stones were company specific and could help identifying the set?
If we can definitely identify the stones, then we may be able to know who used them.
An old time dealer thinks this "may" be made by Vendome but believe all of their pieces were signed... these are not.
It could very well be DeLizza and Elster. Remember D&E started in 1947 and manufactured jewelry for Kramer, Kenneth Jay Lane, Weiss, Hattie Carnegie, Hobe, Celebrity, Accessocraft, Mimi di N, Sarah Coventry, and Madeleine. It just may not be the coveted Juliana that was tagged in 1967-68 which I understand from the Katerina Musetti book only Frank DeLizza could identify as D&E Juliana who evidently is still living. I had a very similar experience from jewelry pieces of a recently deceased family member. She bought her jewelry within the two year period of Juliana. But I could not contact Frank DeLizza to authenticate the pieces as Juliana.
Just bringing this back up to see if anything new has surfaced?
Bumping back up again in hopes someone will recognize the piece, maker, or the frosted stones. Thanks.
It's not D&E. Very pretty and unusual!
rhwill10, I wonder if D&E would have used the non 2-piece hinge and hook versus the bar pin back on pieces they made for others?
This is still unidentified. I did run across a company selling jewelry with these same exact navette stones but they never answered me back. I also recently ran across another unmarked piece using the same exact backing layout but different color stones. have added that picture above.
I believe that it may be D&E. They used that style of pin back but not as often as the ones without the brace. DeLizza thought those were lazy. But they did use it. And the earrings have the most often used, large hole clip. I have seen them use satin stones. But not that color.
