    This French Bannet has a serial number it looks like RS 99755. It also has a name on the blade it's self. I cannot make it out. Might someone know what that says? And or more information on this?

      I have one very similar to this. Have always wondered about it. It was given to me by my Grandfather who received it from his Father whose wife was a sword swallower. Although, she couldn't use this particular one because of the curvature of the blade. Am very interested to see if anyone has any further info. Thanks for the Post!

      The bayonet is for the French Model 1866 bayonet for the Chassepot Rifle, and the spine of yours says is was made at Tulle Arsenal in April 1877. Here's a link to the one in my collection:
