    My auctioneer father purchased this in the 1970's. He had to cut down the headboard for it to fit in the house.

      Nice American Victorian set-- dates from about 1850s- 70s.

      Wood looks to be walnut.

      This is not in vogue right now, but give it time and it should come back in style.
