So Mickeysmagic told me I would have good and bad oops moments and I'm not sure which this is ha ha. This sad little Duck needed a home, was well under budget but, as you can see, not in great condition. It happily ticks away and keeps time but, regardless of condition, I just love him. I only know what Kerry has posted on his site about his age and make, so will leave him to give his expert opinion. Be gentle Kerry lol.
He looks like he us having a great time and awaiting his brother Kerry to drive up !
Seems that someone loved this watch probably carried it around everywhere adds some great character to it:) It's a sweet looking little ticker Wandlessfairy!!
I love this. It can't be a bad oops moment if you love it :-))
This is a good one in my opinion, according to Kerry's Post it was made by Swiss in 1937 for an English sales firm 2 year before the Ingersoll Donald 1939. Even though it is a little ruff still a rare find I think. Congratulations on a great find
Thank you Phil, Roddy and bijou for your lovely comments, they are very generous. TassieDevil, officialfuel, vetraio50, and j_daze, it was great that you stopped by, thank you.
Mickeysmagic I appreciate you taking the time to comment on my "ruff Donald". When I first joined CW I was nervous that only pristine items would be welcome as postings but everyone has been extremely generous in my "less than perfect" items and Donald is definitely that ha ha. For a little lad at 80 yrs old he is adorable to me so thank you again everyone for your comments and MM I will continue with my "oops" moments and fingers crossed.
Mickey has given you great info, this is from 1937. Great piece and top shelf item, if works and dial is clean I rate a 8.5 out of 10..... Thanks for sharing
VERY COOL DUCKY FAIRY
