This was an Estate Sale in Rio Vista, Ca. find today.
A 6 1/4"dia. x 2" blue glass bubble bowl by Barovier & Toso Murano, is etched on the bottom of the bowl, and a 3 1/2"h x 2"at thickest clear glass Pair shape Paperweight by Orient & Flume Chico, California, it says on a paper label, and Orient & Flume wo206R3 etched on the bottom.
Both are in very good condition, the bowl with light scratches on the bottom, but for it's age of 50+ years, as early as the mid. 1930's by some accounts, it's in great condition.
Our destination today was The Western Railroad Museum, on Hwy.12 just west of Rio Vista, but saw the estate sale sign, going through town, so stopped for a look. What luck, and 50% off day also. We got these 2 pieces of art glass, a local town's history book "Walnut Creek" "Arroyo De Las Nueces" 1st edition HB signed by the author George Emanuels, a nice Oriental black pottery flower holder/planter press marked on the bottom but cant read it, a small cat shaped lidded porcelain box, and a green stones and glass beads long necklace, all for $11. not bad! :^) We headed on down the road, only to find the Railroad Museum closed, only open on weekends! oops! So went back to Rio Vista, "Foster's Bighorn" a historical bar and restaurant, with Stuffed Big Game all over the walls. We had a nice lunch and a couple of Guinness's Extra Stout on tap, worth the trip by itself! :^D
Thanks for looking, I'll post a link for Fosters Bighorn, if you'd like to check it out too! :^)

Hope you checked out Foster's Bighorn, too! :^D
If you watch the video on the Foster's Bighorn, we sat at the table in the corner, just under the Giraffe, next to the Elephant, who's tusks are 150lbs each! The people sitting under it were worried about that! :^)
Thanks for the love, surfdub! Can never have too much! :^)
Kevin, and aura, you both are always so nice to stop by, and give some love! Thank you very much! :^)
Thanks for taking a look, and giving some love swf! :^) Very nice of you!
You got yourself a good one Bill! The bowl is made using a Murano technique called "Efeso". This is an uncommon design that I've only seen in books and have never actually held one. Excellent find!
Sorry Bill I didn't notice that Macart had already given you the information.
Hey Rick, thanks, it's always good to hear a comment from the Master Art Glass Collector! :^D Very much appreciated!
Thank you much for the love,
Rick and Rose
I don't know when you 2 stopped by and loved this, bijoucaillou, and Mary, but I'm very happy you did, and it's much appreciated! :^)
