I have had this brooch for a long time, I bought it in a box of nice beads and bits and pieces of broken jewellery at an auction and was really happy to find that it wasn't broken at all. As I said in the title, it is Norwegian 830 silver gilt, filigree or cannetille, with red and turquoise blue enamel and little droppers. It is beautifully made and measures about 1 and 1/4 inches across the top by about 2 inches including the dangles.
I noticed an almost identical piece in an on-line that was attributed to Marius Hammer but I can't really make out the makers mark well enough to be sure. If anyone knows who it is by and roughly when it was made I would love to know!
It looks like a Marius Hammer to me. I had 1 similar... There are pictures of it on my page too if you wanted to compare. Good luck!
Ooh! Thank you! I will have a look on your page. :)
