I've never seen a piece of jewelry like this one. Every single bit of it, aside from the very center, is hinged. The shop staff didn't find the silver marks..... awwwww.... there are two - so figured it was Bijou and put a low price on it. Made in Holland post 1953. Has the sword mark with 925 inside and maker initials "RV". Don't know who that is yet. The gems may be either CZ or Austrian crystals. After a gentle cleaning with dish soap and a soft toothbrush, this pendant will be blinding. :-)))))
Measures 2.5 "x 1.5 ". A keeper, at least for now!
UPDATE 3/9/2017: I showed the cross to my jeweler and was told that the stones are definitely CZs. The cross was made by a defunct Dutch jewelry company known as JPG. He had never seen anything like it.
Thanks for looking.

-----> Ken, me too! I have absolutely nothing to compare it to, so the search goes on.
That is very interesting and pretty!
Mrstyndall, I don't quite know what to make of it. I couldn't find anything remotely like this pendant on the net.
Oh wow, that is very cool!! I've never seen one like it either. It's just beautiful. Could the initials possibly be "BV", I thought RV too when I first saw them, yet BV hit right away too. Maybe you can try BV. Neither ring any bells for me. I'll take a peek too and let you know if I come up with anything. Good lookin' out here!
I don't know Bonnie, I would take that in and have someone check with a diamond tester. Just so you would know. They seem to be well set, it's a very unique piece and I looked again at the initials and from here it seems that it's def an 'R' but it almost looks like a 'swoosh' nike thing, that's next to the V and over both letters. As in maybe Robert 6. That just doesn't sound right but see if you see what i do from here.
shareurpassion - they're not diamonds. The diameter of the "table" of the stone is much too wide. I did take it to my jeweler anyway, who confirmed that they are CZs.
