If anyone has any info on this it would be greatly appreciated. I looked online but could not find anything for this style. It is a large reel the main frame of the reel is roughly 8 in. L x 4 in. W.

Good morning. If you still need info on the Pflueger 231, I may be able to provide a few facts. It was manufactured from 1976-79 and marketed as a Saltwater reel. Line capacity was listed at 300 yards of 20 lb. mono. This reel was manufactured in either Korea or Japan and, although branded as Pflueger, it was made in a period when Pflueger was owned by Shakespeare. The '200' series of reels were limited to the late 1970s and contained a 222, 227, 229 and 231. If you are interested in selling it, I would be happy to make you a fair offer. The 231 was primarily marketed in central and southern Florida (based on newspaper ads) in the late 1970s.
