Jacob Jesson & Co., Central Drug Store, Muskegon, Michigan. 1881 to 1895. Before then, he worked as a druggist in a couple cities. Sold out to Koon & Hopperstead. Mr. Jesson moved out to California to open and operate another drug store till his death a couple decades later.
A century and a few years after Jesson's death, I was contacted by a man in California who is a descendant of Mr. Jesson. He was interested in obtaining bottles from Mr. Jesson's drug store in Muskegon. He had seen a post I had made on another site, about how Mr. Jesson was key in a murder trial case, and he made that inquiry first-- I was, apparently, the only one who found that out. I shared a source mentioning it, and things went from there.
When he sends me the money order, the three embossed bottles above (which I highlighted for him) will be on their way to California along with a sheet I wrote with information on each bottle. The labeled bottle is not in my collection, nor is it in his. I was able to photograph it for the descendant, though.
All three now safely reside in California.
