I saw this in a box with basically junk costume bangles. Definitely not ivory. No seams, so it's not plastic. Doesn't look like Bakelite, so it must be celluloid. It doesn't smell like camphor, so made after 1927. There is a slight discolored spot on the inside.
If this isn't celluloid, somebody please tell me. :-)))))))

freiheit- I think it is the same material. I see the faux ivory lines in yours just as in mine.

I think you are right, celluloid. I will soon post two bangles that have a similar look in the material. I have shown photos to CW collector and friend Valentino and I have also seen more on line, and all points to celluloid. Lovely!
