Hello CW friends!
This is a Japanese thrift store (if there is such a thing :-)) find. It's quite a heavy necklace, made of deep red ceramic beads alternating with small transparent glass beads. I'm not sure if it has been restrung, something looks a bit odd with both bead tips not having the same golden tone. Maybe this is a handmade necklace, maybe not that old, but quite classy.
Thank you for looking!
Merci!
It's very pretty. The spring clasp looks to be areplacement, as it doesn't look right with the necklace chain. There was probably a hook clasp on it, originally.
*a replacement* ...more coffee! LOL
It's a great colour Bijou.....love it!
That red is the best!
Yaaay, thank you for such lovely comments, Efes, nutsa, Tassie, Crystal, racer, I'm very happy you like this one!
Thank you all for the loves, much appreciated as ever!
I first found a set of peals broken in an old school home for the teacher. It was smaller than a one bedroom apt, about half the size or less. The teacherage had no bathroom and the outhouse was more than 50 steps. Used to go to the school when I was in the first to third grade, but it gave me my first find to get me collecting, always interested in history. Nice find.
That special first one, and then you never stopped, and it only got better and better! I like history and stories too! Thank you Phil!
Such a simple design Bijou, but the color shouts "look at me"!
Thank you so much Rick! I think so too. The color and simple design sold it for me.
