I wonder if anyone can help at all.
I have recently come across these two very interesting & unusual metal plaques, which I love! They appear to be made of bronze or brass & have been highly decorated. The motifs are a horned beasts & horned dragon like creatures. It also has the WAN (peaceful right facing swastika symbol) in a small circle on them.
The only guess I have come up with is perhaps they are some sort of old armour, ie shoulder or leg protection.
Any help at all would be appreciated-where they could be from or what they could be used for, age etc.
