Hi I'm going though some of my grandmother's things and I found this lamp I tried looking the number up on the bottom but can't find it. If any one know who it was made by how much it worth I'm trying not to sell the things that could be collectible for the future. Any information would be great.
GIM is the trademark for Gim Metal Products, a company that made metal castings for lamps. These lamps are often called 'Gone With The Wind' (GWTW) lamps and were popular from late 1960s thru early 1980s. Many were sold in the big box stores back in the day like K-Mart, Big K, Sears, Montgomery Ward, etc.
