I've added a couple of necklaces to my collection recently, but just what are the light blue stones in the first photo?
For comparison, the other necklaces in the second photo are:
(l-r) lapis, green aventurine, dyed blue jaspar/Swiss lapis, mixed agate, chrysophase.
The new one isn't dark like the lapis, and doesn't have the sparkle I would expect if it was blue aventurine. It's not banded like blue agate.
Could it be chalcedony? It's got me stumped! Help me please! - Mystery solved, thank you Kyratango! Dyed blue jaspar also known as Swiss lapis.

Your mystery stone is dyed blue jasper called Swiss lapis or German lapis (it can be confused with sodalite too...):
