Here is a 9 1/2 inch piece design by Michael Powolny circa 1914. I don't know the name of the series this comes from but it also came in orange with crystal extruded handles and solid crystal with extruded handles. I have a lot of pictures....(if anyone can fill in the blanks please do). The color is cobalt blue and the piece is nicely symmetrical (don't ask how this was done). The pontil is one of the few I have seen where it is just chipped off and not ground smooth, my guess is it was to hard to get to.

Thanx Malkey, glad you appreciate this type of stuff... My girlfriend looks at it and doesn't see what the big deal is... come to think of it- many people "see" glass but cant "appreciate" the different techniques involved, That's why Tiffany and Chihuly can kiss my butt

The colors great, but I love the shape Kralik! How on Earth were they able to do the triple pulled handle? I've seen a single handle but none like this... excellent technique! Now, don't burst my bubble by telling me it's mold blown LOL.

I think it was all hand formed from the rim then transferred to the foot. then three rod-shaped applications here placed an the sides, pinched and tooled with metal rod then furnace smoothed.... not easy to get symetrical

I guess it wasn't easy huh? Well they did a fantastic job!

That's a lot of furnace exchanges. It could so easily go wrong!

At first, looking at the photos, I thought this was a two-handled piece. Now I realise it is three. It just got so much better...
