Cool wood and buckled leather seat chair

I found a set of four of these chairs at an estate sale. They are 32 inches tall,19 inches wide and 17 inches deep. The black leather seats buckle on the bottom and measure 19 inches long and 16 inches wide. The wood frame is painted red and held together with pegs. The chair has no glue or nails. I have no idea who made them or how old they are. If anyone knows something about them, I would appreciate any information.
