A rootbeer celebration

I bought this gallon A&W root beer jug recently. I paid $16 for it and I'm not a collector. The reason I purchased this jug was a very happy childhood memory.
I played softball on a field about 2 small town blocks from my home. I was an average player...not a star, not a benchwarmer. I did love the game. I usually got on base. I could be counted on for a single or an occasional double. But one magical night I hit a homerun! I was so excited, I ran the two blocks home after the game to share the news with my dad. He announced it was reason to celebrate and sent my oldest brother to the A&W for a gallon of root beer for the family to toast my success! Quite a big deal as we very rarely had soda back in the day. So when I spotted the jug in a shop, I wanted it. I wanted to own a piece of the happy night 50 years back when we toasted my homerun!
Now, I checked online to see if my jug is authentic. The bottle is certainly clean. The cap seems authentic. I could not find another label that matched mine. But, I don't care. I didn't buy it for that purpose.
