I found this bench on my back yard. Buried on trash. Does anyone know what year it might be and if it's worth to refinish?

I would not see it as a bench. I would see it as a seat for some kind of farm implement or horse drawn wagon.
yes! this is a carriage seat. i've seen many of them moldering and rusting away in barns all around northern new england.
