Last but not least... celluloid?

Vintage brooch I found yesterday, enamel and carved / painted plastic, it is very light, maybe celluloid?
The rose is marked on the back with Ges.Gesch 126, which in german language means "Gesetzlich Geschutzt" and is the German equivalent of a trademark, copyright or patent, as seen in the United States. The translation of Gesetzlich Geschutzt literally means legally protected.
So 126 might be a patent number.
