I recently inherited this decanter from a relative. I know nothing about it and online searches have only created more confusion. It is a thick cobalt blue glass with gold guilding, and enameled flowers. The flowers are not painted onto the glass but are actually raised. There are no markings except for a small "38x" in the bottom of the decanter and the bottom of the cap. Someone told me it is a moser, but recent research has shown there are many misinterpretations of that style. Similar items found online reflect the bohemian glass company. Any help about the make and era is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Looks like maybe you have the top on the wrong way. It may be a perfume bottle, so the long part is called a dabber, and fits into the bottle, so the top sits properly.

The central motif in image two is often found on Bohemian glass.

Just to clear up some confusion, the top is on correct. The long part won't fit into the jug. The spear portion is meant to stick straight up. The nub fits perfectly into the mouth to seal the jug. The total height of this is just past my knee and I am 6 foot tall. So it is relatively large, would need a gallon or two of perfume to fill it, lol. The design in the second image seems to be Bohemian Glass based on some of the other examples I have found on ebay, but nothing that looks like this decanter.

The top has been added later, not meant for the vase.

The dimensions would have helped - oh well I tried. Agree with PhilD the top is wrong.

The top and the decanter both have the same number stamped in the glass. The top has it in the stopper/ stubby portion. The decanter has it on the bottom. The stamp/imprint is "38x". The decanter is 14 inches tall, the total with the cap is 26 inches.

The 'spear' is like an obelisk.

I have similar one, mine still has a "Bohemia glass" sticker on the neck, I found out from the generic sticker that it is from 1950s-1960s.
