This brass tool is 2 inches long plus its handle and is stamped EFD. Both the tool and its case have the British Board of Ordnance "crow's foot" mark. When inserted into the barrel of a gun a little mirror inside allows the user to inspect the whole length of the barrel.
I have included a picture of this 3.5 inch long Salter brass weighing scales because I bought both items together. The scales also has the ordnance mark and I was told that it was used to test and adjust the firing pressure of artillery. Can anyone confirm this?
