    I have always liked this iron just because of its small size. The base is 4 inches long and with its handle it is 3.25 inches high. On the top of the base is "Sensible No. 6 N.R.S. & Co." Not sure if it is just a travel iron or if it had a specialised function.

      What a cute one! I totally would have played with this if it was a toy. It looks rather old!

      Thanks for the comments. I did find TassieDevil's link but I just can't see this iron being a toy, in fact it is quite heavy for its size. I thought it might be for some particular task like collars but the fact that the handle can detach suggests that it is a travel iron which could be packed away easily. Very interesting to see it was mas in US.
