    I got this little Satsuma covered jar at the flea market today too. it's probably from the 1930s or maybe 40s. it's very pretty and in perfect condition. i wonder what the stamps mean on the bottom?

      when do you think this piece was made? i think 1930s/40s, but i'm not a pro yet.

      hi i know some of it.

      the cross circle is from the dominating clan in the province of satsuma.
      The name of the can is Shimazu clan. the rest of the mark is maker i think.
