Thanks to Zilla, I know what this stone is - rubbish, lol! Heat treated, which ruins the structure of the quartz. Now I will recognize these stones for what they are when I run across them again.

      Tumbled Citrine? Citrine's quartz.
Whatever it is it's really pretty!

@Zilla - yes, that's what it is. I looked on the web and discovered that it's been heat treated. That damages the stone, so I'm deeming it to be junk.

Wow I didn't know that about the heat treatment! It's a shame.

@Zilla - I bought it from a flea market and only paid a buck for it, so no big loss. I"ll just put it in with a job lot of costume jewelry I've already gathered together.

Pretty pendant, is the chain and mount silver?
    6. Efesgirl Efesgirl, 8 years ago
katherine - the chain mount is junk and the chain is plated. :-)))) I was interested in the stone until discovering it was "fake". :-((((

It might be junk but it's still lovely.

Yes, the stone is lovely, awwwww. Well you can't win them all, our Bonns. :( And it's a good lesson to all of us here, so thanks for posting. :)
