We don't know much about this cabinet, we do know it's a hard wood. Just looking for any information about it, such as approximate age, use, origin, etc. Thanks in advance.

It is beautiful!
Fantastic hardware in that.
Hyems is Winter in Latin.
Neptunus is Dutch.
The legs are called Barley Twist.
Post a second posting of the hardware. That lock will be specific to some particular region - and maybe the hinges, too. Orient your pics correctly. (Take them in the proper orientation to begin with, or correct them and SAVE before you upload.)
Neptunus (Neptune) is the Roman God of the sea and still waters
Yeah - I know Neptune is the god of the sea! (So is Poseidon) The panel says Neptunus. Translator said Dutch - but I think it's also Latin.
Thank you for the comments. Celiene, I'm not sure how to correct the pictures, as they were correct and upright when I posted, (I'm new to this) I will attempt to correct them in this posting, if not I will repost under the same title and with the hardware.
It looks made sometime in the early 40's possibly. Some very nice carvings. Possibly Italian.
