Over the years I have seen bronze bulldogs advertised as everything from door stops to book ends to paperweights. I can't say I ever did get an accurate answer. I had talked to the original owners of a couple of them and they passed along to me that they had purchased them in the early 1900's, and another mid 1900's. I think both of those were made somewhere in Europe. I was looking for Hubley dogs at the time so passed up these pups. Looking back that may have been a mistake.

Bulldogs were very popular in the early 20th century, possibly made in Austria, nice find !
