Picked up this Taylor Roast Meat thermometer last week. It was a two for as it was just not a nice vintage thermometer but had a stylish box as well.
The box and the thermometer both have the proper temperatures for cooking on them. The box has more detailed instructions. I pretty much eyeball it when cooking beef but pork and poultry need to be thoroughly cooked. Thus a thermometer is good tool for that.. That and a visual inspection.
No solid information on this piece for age. A real rough guestimate is 1920s-1950s.
I have an older Taylor thermometer from the sixties still works great.
Thank you very much Caperkid. I would guess this one works too.
