The poor little guy looked silly with no horns and a massive curly hairdo ;-D
He certainly had once ivory horns, but my kyratisation's ethic doesn't allow killing an elephant to take off his tusks...
White polymer clay tinted with coffee did the job for his prosthetic new horns!
A little touch of black permanent marker on the bright bronze spots, a slight oily wipe... et voilà, ready to join my sparrow and monkey penwipes, previously posted!
Unmarked, 11cm long, 5.5cm high, the brush is in as new condition. Dating early 20th century.
He is even anatomically correct! ;-))
Has some presence to this piece Kyratango thank you for sharing
He's lovely. :-)))) His majesty has been restored.
You have the neatest bronze animals, very envious as usual !
You are amazing, he looks fabulous!
Hi Malkey from Mr Bull! Thank you for appreciating his attitude :-D
Ken, it was an easy job, I knew he would look nicer with his new horns ;-)) Thank you!
Bonnie, yes, isn't he sweet? Thank you, my friend!
Phil, I love these Vienna bronzes since long ago, difficult part is to get them at bargain prices... Thank you for your compliment, priceless coming from a high end pieces collector :-) XO

Oh la la... Already 17 lovers... Mr Bull warmly thanks you all :-)
Wow Pascale, he is terrific and looks perfect with his new horns!!! Love all your penwipes.
Hey it good to see you got the Bull by the horns ...Smiling... Nice save and great find as always ..enjoy the dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Judy! Glad you love him and his buddies :-)
Lisa, only rolled tiny pieces of polymer clay between my fingers and bake them... thanks!
Gary, yep! Got him ;-)
Even got hubby, showing him the two horns before gluing them, saying I kicked Benny so hard (after he chewed into pieces an outside electrical wire...) he lost two teeth... Lol!
LOL poor Benny ...Send hubby down to the hardware store and pick up a gfi breaker if the wires run to the electric panel inside ,but if you feed them with and outside outlet just pick up a gfi outlet .. and sprinkle some pepper around where Benny is digging it will change his mind ...lol better then losing more teeth...smiling .
Ha Gary, thanks for your advice! I used a wrong term... I meant he chewed an extension cord, a 40 meters long one, going from the house to the well for the water pump...
Happily it was unplugged!
I use tabasco hot chili for the furniture legs...
lol to run the the water pump ?? .... Now your sounding like one of us mountain hicks ,,,,lol They do sell gfi boxes you can plug in to any outlet then the cord ....hot chili works ...lol

Most impressive bull. I thought he was a pin pad? Bit you have given me inspiration to re-purpose something.
Gary, not living in as wild place as yours ;-)
Big garden, 2 old wells, for watering flowers...
Benny and Ella chewed all the plastic water cans and the lavenders branches... will have to wait they calm down before doing any gardening :-))
GeodeJem, thanks for your nice comment!

You have to wonder where some people get their pricing from don't you!!
Yep Judy! Crazy!
And this lead other people to think their stuff woud sell for the same...
The real value is the sold price, not the asked for :-)))
