    If anyone could help me with these symbols or the age to this piece I would appreciate it.......it was suggested that the one image is a gryphon....... It is made of copper or bronze

      I haven't seen one before and can't tell you much just looking at these pics. Some clues to its age may be found if you look really close at how it was made - look for indications of tool marks, mold seams, brush strokes, punch marks around the hole edges etc. The animal looks to me more like a lion, and it may have a wing on its back or it may be another tree in the background. Several countries used a double headed eagle as a symbol: Austria, Russia, Poland etc (and don't forget to check private crests/genealogy) - comparing the shape of crowns and talons may be helpful, and looking for an association with this specific animal would narrow it down. Good luck in your search and post an update if you find something.
