I still don't believe to find this very big and heavy Mats Jonasson crsytal today, this one slip in there hand for sure, tag at $4.99, this piece show so much wear at the base that it's very hard to see the signature and serial number, that's explained why they can't figure who made this, but a good experiance eyes recognize the craftsmanship of Jonasson, the bear is so realist, the fur, the splash in the water and the salmon in the bear mouth make this piece such a wonderful example of his work, bless to find it.
This crystal stand 9 inch long, 5.50 inch high, 2 inch thick, impressive 3.5 Kg.

You are so welcome Alan, you have learned so fast about all the glass and your collection has come such a long way. I wish I could retain just half of what I have seen and learned here. You have done well.
I have had three small pieces by Jonasson and even the small ones are quite amazing, costly too but very much worth it. I can imagine how awesome this large piece you found is. Have you seen some of the newer pieces, a bit of a change from these but I can't wait till I find one of them myself. I'll see if I can find a link and put it here for you to see. And yes, I come up with some different sayings here and there. ;)

You might want to turn your bear around, easy to display from the wrong side. Check and see.

Wow, 29 copy only, i can understand the price asking, if you look at one in bad condition or lost, that's bring the price up for sure.
