This pair of large Welz vases were found in an 'Antiques Emporium' less than a mile from my home. They're my third Bohemian find there in the last two years and certainly the most surprising.
The décor is a large white spatter with splashes/streaks of amber. I hadn't seen the décor before and had I seen it on an unknown shape I would not have thought Welz. This sort of experience is why I find Welz so interesting.
Image three was provided by Craig as part of his identification of the Tango version seen in image two.

Nice find & local! I've never seen the square topped vases before. Great post :)
Thanks, Fran. I certainly wouldn't have expected to find anything as surprising as these in my little backwater!
These are great! Love those knuckle vases!
New shape to me.I'm curious if it is possible to count all Welz's shapes and decors!
Lovely comment LOUMANAL. Thank you!
I very much doubt that it is Ivonne. I suspect that much more may surface over time. For instance I've seen a translucent green glass box with the knobbly finial found on boxes in known Welz décors.
Amazing find Peggy!
Just so, Phil. Sometimes you can hardly believe what happens!
Very cool... A new decor!!
Indeed, Craig, yet another, seems like they're endless!
Welz are amazing in their creativity and range. Such an adventure searching all of these decors. I'm not sure how you keep up Peggy!
I totally agree with what you say about Welz, Karen, and it's certainly fun coming across new décors. I'm not too sure what you mean by keeping up. I do however think it's easier to recognise what you collect than to keep up with someone else's collecting area.
Thank you to all the kind folks who 'loved' these vases.
Love it! Would love one in that décor but I think our collections need to diverge not further converge! I buy something often to find you have 3! :-)
lol Of course it works the other way as well, Ian.
