    This Mother of Pearl - Lorraine of Paris Binoculars/Opera Glasses has been in our family for many years. We were curious about when they may have made made as the leather case they have been in is old, and worn with age. When I look up Lorraine of Paris - the other thing that comes back is LeMaire of Paris but as you can tell from the picture it says Lorraine. Thanks for any help you can give me!

      Can't find Lorraine maker on the internet... But I can give you a time frame for your beautiful opera glasses, 19th century, see there same case (the closure helps for dating), and model shape (this model was still made during first part of 20th):
