    Most of these sorts of plates are pewter, with old time scenes in the center. Ugh. This heavy plate made for a nice change, with it's lovely patina. Rings clearly when "pinged". I didn't find any like items on Google Images. I'm guessing made during the first half of the 20th Century, but I have no idea how long it takes for brass to acquire such an even, dark patina. No marks at all.

      I see this was posted a few years ago. I agree that it is likely early 1900s. These are Pie Plates. Do it have any look of grinding along the edge? I can dare better with more pics or additional info on description. I have 6 plates all have slight design variations. Seen in Stove Catalogues. Only in the past 10 years have we been able to correctly identify many pieces of cast iron cookware
