This was my mother-in-laws fathers radio. She believes it was purchased in 1934. The model number is missing and I can't seem to find an antique radio that matches it. It worked until recently and I would like to have it repaired. This radio has sentimental value. If anyone would know what model it is it would be nice to know. I also need to find someone to repair it. I live in the central valley of California. If anyone would know where I could get it repaired that would be wonderful also. This radio is a AM and shortwave radio and is in pretty good shape. Everything on it is original. I hope to pass it down to one of my children when I'm no longer on God's green earth.
If you want to have it repaired you might contact the guys on the'' antique radio forum''.. They may have members in your area that would repair it.
It probably need new capasitors and maybe a tube. You can also try the Philco phorum..Good luck..
Its a Canadian General Electric M-51. Year 1934/1935
I should have said General Electric M-51, made in USA.
