I think it far more likely that this is a vase rather than a receptacle for monetary gifts to a bride on her wedding day. Largely because so many examples have limescale deposits/stains to the interior!
This one is an exercise in the decorative use of ribbing. The exterior of the vase itself alternates a wide rib and a very fine 'line' rib. The green supports for the clear top have very fine ribbing. Yet more ribbing on the top itself.
However it's here because its base has the type of marks seen on the bases of the two previous vases and so I suspect, but only suspect, that it too is Kralik.
Height 19 cm./7.5 inches
I like this type of vases very much.Maybe because they are unobvious,so different from contemporary ideas...
I like them too, Ivonne......just taken me ages to find one.
I agree on the vase but my photography is hit and miss......the daylight was kind to me on this one!
After not being able to find any of these I've seen a few lately, like busses, wait for ages then lots come at once, lol. I like this tall version. I wonder why they're called brides bank vases, maybe because they display flowers well :-S
Just so Fran, my experience exactly!
Thanks everyone the loves are much appreciated.
