This dollhouse is made of mixed materials, a type of hard paperboard, wood, and metal. It has nails in the bottom, leading me to believe it had been attached to a base of some sort. I have searched websites, Etsy, eBay - I don't see any others like it. Green roof. Two chimneys. Paper yellow flowers in a flowerbox.

From what I can see I believe this was a kit house. You would buy the kit and put the house together yourself. This one is probably fairly old. Long ago you could buy the kits out of magazines like popular mechanics. They were less expensive than a ready made one and made a nice Christmas or birthday gift. I believe you can still find new and old kit doll houses online and probably a doll house collector's blog or site might help in your research. I said a good many naughty words putting these together and finding out there were missing parts.

Hi there! Thanks for posting. That gives a whole new spin to my online search options. I really appreciate it. Do you recall them coming with, or requiring you to make, a wooden base? Just wondering what all the nails sticking through the bottom are for.

There were many options you could add on, like a garage or a fence. Some had a hinged roof or front so you could open them and buy furniture to put inside. They weren't terribly sturdy and I have seen them mounted directly to a play table top. Perhaps this one was a permanent fixture on a desk or table top at one time.
