Cabinet is 29 1/2"wide, 13 1/2" deep, 34" tall. It has a beautiful carving inside the top lid and the outside of the cabinet is all carved. It has 2 doors on each side and a fold out area under the lid. It has a metal identifying tag inside the lid as well. The tag says TA CHUNG SOUVENIR STORE TAIWAN CHINA 30 Chung Shang 2 Road Kee Lung. It was given to me when I purchased a roll top desk online. The man was elderly and said that his late wife had purchased this piece at least 30 years prior but that was about all he could tell me about it. It is simply stunning in my opinion and I feel privelaged to own such a beautiful piece of furniture, I wish I had more information and history on it.
Hi, Buttafly418. Did you ever find any additional info on this cabinet? I have the exact same cabinet and have never seen another one online other than yours.
Actually.... I take that back. It's not exactly the same. The scene inside the top cover is definitely different.
My friends parents passed away and his dad was a merchant marine. He brought home a cabinet like this and has the same plate on it as this one. He is looking to find it's value and to find a buter. Do you have any info on the value? It's in perfect condition.
