Persian Miniature

I found this at a thrift store, where it was in a framed holder. I thought that it may be a good buy at $3 and took it home, unframed it, and was amazed to see what was behind it.

Eventually I figured out it's a Persian miniature, but also found one company in India that paints them on old manuscripts (which they tear apart, of course).

I looked at it under a microscope. Here is my list of observations:

Reproductions are often painted over text-- this covers no text.
Hand-written text in water-based ink. Paint all seems water-based. Even that which looks like oil (pigments are thicker?)
Pulled out of book.
Handmade paper.
At least some soiling goes over the ink (able to study spots and track dirty fibres over ink)
Many of these seem to be off-center and angled. This is both.
Paint is too vibrant; that which is white is unsoiled.
Almost seems like some details are penned in.
Under paint is lines for guidance.
Text appears to have not deteriorated by soiling. Ditto the painting.
Framed in the last 30 years. Layering with details that pressed down into the paper, creates a more 3-D effect.

It was excellently executed, but I cannot tell if it is an original or not. I know the paper is old, but that's it.
