At the moment I'm posting all my glass with applied decoration - & in a fortuitous find, I scored this Art Nouveau Kralik thorn vase at my local flea market yesterday...I have wanted one of these for many years, & this example is in perfect condition & was a bargain, too.
It is made from clear glass in a satin finish, with rustic thorn pull out decoration, an applied footed base, & a yellow & clear flower with a green leaf.
The vase measures 18.3 cm tall, 12 cm across at the widest point, & 10.2 cm across the base.
Such a pretty one - perfect spring daffodil-like colors! I really like the fact that this one is all satin - it gives it a lovely soft look.
This is gorgeous, IronLace, and so dainty looking too, almost ethereal!
On a personal level I'm pleased to see another Kralik flower with four inner and four outer petals.
Thanks so much, Michelle, I agree, it has so many nice things going on, & I was really pleased to find it!
Thanks also, sklo42, I have been looking for one of these for a very long time, & the few I've seen were seriously damaged. Nice to have the seal of approval from you, as you numerous lovely examples of this type! :-)
Lovely Kralik flower.
Thanks so much, Marty!
