I found this in a thrift shop - had never seen one before so it's been a lot of fun in the learning process. This samovar is obviously (by hallmark etchings) Russian and information about it found on line is all over the place. Wanting to find out how old it might be...it is electric so it is, at best, late 1800's. It measures 19" tall and not counting the very top portion, has a circumference of about 38". In addition to my thirst for any informed info on this, I'm not sure if I should polish it SHOULD I decide to sell it....I know most would say if I keep it, polish it; if I'm selling it -- "DON'T TOUCH THAT PATINA! ;-)

    Thanks!

Thank you for the Welcome, lamplover78! And just based on your username - and I apologize if I am stretching here.... - in doing my due diligence, I have come across several of these samovars that have been turned into - you guessed it - lamps! Kind of like the ones I'm sure you've seen that are the OLD brass (very cool) fire extinguishers!

More photos coming -- just wasn't sure if the sizing for this forum would work. Thanks, again....
