Hello and thank you for allowing me to Post this item. First let me say I love your show and watch it every chance I get. You guys really make watching a lot of fun, interesting as well as a learning experience. What I know about this Guitar is that it is an Airline 7230 - Triple Pickup
Electric hollowbody - Distributed by Montgomery Wards - Based on Harmony H78. Production year(s) : 1963/1965 (other years possible, not verified). While redburst (H78) and sunburst (H76) versions were sold at the same time under the Harmony brand, the Airline was red at first (63-65) then sunburst later (see model 7280). This particular one belonged to my Grandfather who as a child I remember him playing songs for us. He took great care of it and always kept it in it's case when not in use. He was the only one in our Family who had Musical Talent. This was passed onto me because me and my Grandfather were so close. I am somewhat disappointed that I never learned to play and even though I would love to learn it would be very difficult since I have problems with my hands. I really enjoy sharing this piece with anyone who is interested, I think it is a beautiful guitar and has a very nice sound to it. Thank you for letting me Share....Take Care and God Bless...
That is a nice piece and hope it goes to someone with the same passion as your Grandfather had for music. It kind of looks like a Gibson or Les Paul. The fact that it came from Montgomery Wards back in the day is so Cool. I have problems with my hands as well but I'm going to try and pick up playing someday. Good luck to you and I hope you get what you ask for. It is a Beautiful piece and would love to hear it play, God bless.
looks like a beauty!
Thank You PerLive and davidlight. It is truly as beautiful as it looks. I wish my hands were able to play it. I hate the fact that it's sits there and doesnt get played.
Hi AllenK- your Airline looks beautiful! Is it still available?
Thanks!
Hi swa14 and thank you for the compliment. I am sorry but it is not for sale. Even though I don't play I love to share it's beauty with others. It belonged to my grandfather and means a lot to me. Thank You
