Spanish 17th century coffin and skeleton mori snuff box?

I have a question regarding, what I believe to be a memento mori snuff box. I'm not an expert, but the dealer it was purchased from claimed it was a Spanish mori piece from the 17th century. He claimed it came out of a private collection in Spain as well. The piece is very small and appears to be hand pounded as well. It is very rough around the edges, but I can't really pin point a date on it, really, or it's origin, other than what I was told. It almost appears like it was meant to be some kind of fob or pendant, perhaps. Any help at all and opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.
