Oneida Serving Tray

Oneida serving tray was spray painted possibly many years ago as it was painted over the oxidization .I tried a few products to remove spray paint . I found Goof Off pro strength graffity remover works best without harming the silver plate. One never knows what might be revield under a coat of paint . In this case the paint saved the plating from normal wear ,scratches etc. It took some time to remove paint . I worked slowly with a stiff nail brush (lots of crevises ) The reverse of the plate was a bit more difficult . It wasn't painted . Lots of Wright's Silver Cream and "elbow grease ". Oxidization under the paint was easy to remove. I don't know the age of the plate and could use some help in that area . This was a $4.00 thrift find.
