Here is the famous 'Swimsuit Girl' or 'Bubble Girl' bottle. 7up used this logo from 1935 up to the early 50's I think. Now if you will notice the difference between the two pics. The 1st pic is of what is called an '8 bubble' bottle. referring to the amount of bubbles in the red/orange portion of the ACL(applied color label). Up until the mid 40's this was the norm. Not sure how or why but some think that in the management of 7up someone finally said "Hey this is called 7up, why is there 8 bubbles on the bottle" From a certain point on all bottlers switched to the '7 bubble' design. The '8 bubbles' are more collectable and usually worth more. There are also some variants out there that are rare. 1st pic far right bottle, (it's hard to see) the swimsuit is all white. Normally the swimsuit is not colored. 2nd pic far right bottle. The '7 bubble' pattern is different. Both of those bottles are very rare.
Thanx for lookin! 3-27-17
Nice collection and information Iggy.
I'll be counting the bubbles on the next 7up bottles I see. Will be looking for the 8s.
Funny you posted these, I just took photos of mine, I only have 1, it's from 1964. In just those few years, they did make quite a few changes. Mine still looks pretty new! Great collections!

Hey Iggy! I'm from southeast Michigan as well! Actually still have a house there in Roseville.
Thanx Lamplover78! That's cool. We used to live in Roseville also back in the 80's. I live in Clinton twp now. I grew up in Detroit.
Small world! We stay in Roseville while visiting family. Hoping to get that house up for sale soon tho. We have 3 other houses near Armada. My sister lives in New Baltimore. We were trying to get a house on the lake. But that didn't work out. And found my dream house in New York! So im 10 hours from there now. But i actually really like Roseville still. .i had some great neighbors there.
