Old pottery crock

I found this piece of pottery at an estate sale a while back. when I purchased this pottery there was a Post-it note inside that read front and back , "Red wing pottery 2 pound butter crock from a home in the country near Minneapolis Minnesota. Owned by the sister of the founder of NW airlines Kidder Alice Peterson, granddaughter of owner sold this piece to me on 7/6/91."
Whether this is an actual Redwing piece or not I do not know. The only thing that is marked on it is 2 lb on the bottom.
