An interesting brooch in art deco style

I think this was thrift shop find. Actually I bought it because I hoped that the plastic is bakelite (no its not - Simichrome said no :( ).
The circles are bound together in an interesting way, each one has its own metal ring.
Pretty thing, and I hope someone here tells me its true art deco.. only the condition is too good for this brooch to be so old. So I gues it is only in "art deco style".
Interesting anyway.
