I saw this old Fry gas pump out in a tiny little "town" called Garrison Ut on a dirt road that was originally used by the Pony Express between Utah and Nevada. That was back in the 70s when I was out looking for antique auto parts for my 1909 Model T Ford. The pump was still operational when I saw it. Yesterday I got a call from a lady in a nearby town that asked me if I was interested in the old pump and told me that her Uncle had Purchased it 35 years ago while he was doing some construction work out there and it had stood in their garage ever since. The uncle is now dead and her father is in a rest home and she has no interest in the pump so sold it to me. I am obviously thrilled and there is always room for one more gas pump at Lakeside Storage in Provo. Amazing to have survived all those years without one single BB shot to the glass! They took the handle off to keep people from helping themselves to the gas below the pump! Maybe life hasn't changed so much after all?

Great story and love old pumps.
Coke1234,
Thanks for your personal comment. These old gas pumps each have their own personal story and history just like people have. I love the stories and would love to know more about the history of this one. I was shocked to be able to buy this one!
