      Nice stylish and chunky piece !
      Not only ivory colored... Ivory!
      You can see the distinctive Schreger's lines (the cross hatch pattern). Certainly a ruby for the eye, unmarked gold.
      I saw these pendants during the seventies :-)

      Yes, definitely ivory! Look on the bail (where the chain goes through) for any marks. Not possible to tell you who made it, but it's likely to have come from India. The trade ban on ivory:

      I'll have to set it aside for my kids. I have an ivory elephant necklace as well that I posted awhile back. Lucky find for me :)
